Doula Package
The Birth Package ~ $1,200
Two prenatal meetings, Breastfeeding 101 Class, on call to attend birth, attend birth, one postpartum meeting and unlimited phone, text and email support.
First prenatal (about 32 weeks): Take time to get acquainted; come up with an ideal birth scenario; begin to build a birth plan while talking about the various options during labor; discuss fears, concerns, misconceptions about birth; discuss how we will work together as a team; decide what you want from me at the birth; discuss how I can best help the partner at the birth as well. We will also talk about relaxation techniques.
Second prenatal (about 36 weeks): Discuss any new concerns; review birth plan and discuss care provider's comments; signs of labor starting; overview of stages of labor, what to expect in labor; what to expect postpartum.
Breastfeeding 101 Class: Class held via Zoom on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 6:30pm - 8:00pm.
On Call for the Birth: Upon completion of a signed contract and deposit I am available to you for any questions or concerns you have 24/7 via text, email or phone call. As your due date approaches we will be in contact more frequently. Any changes or new labor signs should be reported to me as soon as possible. Yes, I really do get up at 3am to meet you in your home, clinic or hospital! I generally ask that you give me at least 2 hours notice before you want me at your birth.
Attend Birth: I will stay with you, providing support for as long as it takes to have your baby, and about an hour or so afterwards. During this time I will provide encouragement, support for coping with contractions, massage, relaxation, visualization, suggestions for changing positions, support for the partner and any educational information you may need. After the birth, I help to settle the room and help with the initial breastfeeding. Once things are calm and going well I will leave but am still available via text, email or call. I support the family with whatever decisions are made, regardless of what my own choices or preferences may be.
Postpartum Visit (12-14 days postpartum): Primarily breastfeeding support; newborn care information as needed, emotional support, provide resources for any particular challenges; process the birth and answer any questions.
**Please ask me about getting reimbursed from your insurance company for Doula Services and Childbirth Education classes.
