Client Testimonials
I am very glad I hired Bridget Fueller as my doula, as I was really able to have the kind of birth that I wanted with her assistance. When it came to meetings before and after birth, Bridget was great at working around our schedules and coming where it was convenient for us to meet. While I was pregnant, Bridget was very reassuring and answered a lot of panicked questions from me at a variety of times of day or night. She presented the pros and cons of various birth plan options and sent me links with really helpful information to help me make an informed decision on the things i was waffling about. She attended a hypnobirth class with me, and was supportive hypnobirthing. She met me in the hospital after I went into labor, and arrived when she was most needed. I had told my husband I didn't think I could do it without pain meds, even though I had wanted so much to have a natural birth. Within minutes of saying that, Bridget walked in the door. She pressed on my hip and shoulder during my contractions and somehow it relieved the pain, and I was able to do the whole thing naturally without medication like I had wanted thanks to Bridget. We had also asked her to take pictures, and she took great pictures that really showed the whole event, including things I had missed seeing at the time. She captured my husband and I in our last moments as a couple, she got the room sign so we will know exactly what room he was born in, several pictures during and after birth, his first vital signs, footprinting process, and more. If I have another baby, I know who I am calling! I know I couldn't have done it pain medication free without her.

As first timers, we wanted an affordable doula who could help us navigate unknown territory to have the birth we envisioned (as much as possible). Bridget was easy to coordinate with, is very down-to-earth, friendly, professional, and communicated VERY well with hospital staff. I had a midwife at St. Joseph's. The nurses and midwives all loved her as well. It was nice to have a doula there to help us make decisions when all the medical info was thrown at us.
My induced labor took MUCH longer than expected and Bridget stayed (awake!) the entire time, positive and informative when we had questions or concerns. We believe having Bridget on our birth team helped us avoid a C-section. She suggested different labor positions to help move the baby, and helped with the labor pain through massage, meditative music, and counter pressure. In the end, Bridget was the calm and reassuring labor coach we needed, and we are excited to hire Bridget for our next birth.

When I found out I was pregnant in February, I knew that I wanted to go all natural with the help of a doula! Luckily enough, my sister who was also pregnant knew Bridget Fueller and highly recommended her to me! I gave her a call, set up a consultation, and knew she was the one! I'm so glad I chose Bridget, she was amazing! she was by my side every step of the way!! She walked me through the beginning process of becoming a mommy. Everytime I had a question with my pregnancy I would text her and immediately she would respond. When the big day came and I was ready to give birth she was ready to meet me. During labor she was there to encourage me along the way. Even when I thought I coudn't do this she helped me stay focused and helped me deliver my beautiful 9lb 4oz baby girl. I will forever be thankul to Bridget. She knew how important a natural birth was to me and she helped make my experience a success! I highly recommend her to any woman who is looking for the perfect doula!!

My husband and I were looking for a simple natural delivery for our first child, but we're not interested in the typical"granola" experience that most doulas offer. Eating my placenta? No thank you! Bridget was awesome and worked with me towards the delivery I wanted - mainly by educating me about my options. She had a great demeanor and put my husband at ease - something the other doulas were unable to do. He took issues with the fake demeanor of the other "self proclaimed" doulas. The other doulas seemed to have an idea of how they wanted my delivery to go and what I needed to regulate my hormones after delivery, yada, yada, yada. Not Bridget! She empowered me to decide for myself by providing actual facts. I had a very fast and intense delivery. She met us at the hospital and provided me with pain management through counter pressure, which helped me make it through the unrelenting contractions. There was no time for any pain meds or epidural, but I knew that Bridget would have supported me through decisions to use either without judgement. Bridget is a great doula for the "everyman".I cannot recommend enough. If your pregnant, get her in your corner!

I gave birth to our second child, a daughter, this October. I had met with and planned to use a doula because I wanted a different experience with this birth. On the day they had me come to the hospital to be induced for my VBAC (12 days past my due date), my doula was with another momma in labor. I was crushed that she wouldn't be there and was afraid I couldn't be successful without her. She offered to send her backup and I wasn't sure that I wanted a stranger in my delivery room but asked her to send the backup anyway. Shortly after, in walks Bridget. She and I were perfect strangers as I greeted her from the labor tub, but from the moment she arrived, the room was calmer and I felt like we had known each other a long time. She has such a presence and a way of bringing peace in the chaos. She was with me the remainder of my labor and delivery and I don't know what I would have done without her. She didn't know me but had been quickly briefed on my previous traumatic birth experience and she was able to connect with me through that and help me stay calm through my fear. She gracefully guided the brand new nurse who was assigned to me, she helped me fight off the demands of my impatient doctor, and she took control of my finicky fetal monitor. Her experience and expertise were very apparent. When things began to go downhill and I was terrified, she helped me regain control. When time came to push she was on one side while my husband was on the other, and they both held my hands as we welcomed our baby earthside.
To say Bridget was wonderful is an understatement! She was EVERYTHING I needed in the delivery room.
After being with me for over 12 hours, she went straight to join another client who had come into the same hospital to deliver. No sleep, little food, and great joy in doing so.
I would recommend Bridget to ANYONE. She is a bright light in dark and scary places and I am so blessed to have had her as my doula <3

After interviewing a few doulas, my husband and I decided Bridget was definitely who we wanted to work with on this magical journey. From the moment we met her, she was warm and caring. I felt an immediate connection of trust with her, which was very important to me. Being a Type A personality, I noticed her promptness on everything from in-person meetings to texts and phone calls, and her willingness to be there for me whenever I needed her to be - knowing she was so readily available really put my mind at ease! Bridget brings a lot to the table with her own personal background, which I feel really separates her from other doulas - she truly has been through it all and can relate to the mom. After our baby was born, Bridget immediately helped me with breastfeeding. She was also able to take some wonderful photos and type up a beautiful birth story for us. I highly recommend Bridget - I am so glad she was able to be with us during such an intimate and special time!

After my first birth in 2012, via cesarean, I knew I wanted to have the option to VBAC if I ever did get pregnant again. 2015, I found myself in the predicament of wanting the same but being unsure if I could do it by myself. I found Bridget in an unconventional way and immediately messaged her. it wasn't until roughly 3 months later that I took the dive in getting a doula-- Mostly because I'm fickle and couldn't decide between a repeat cesarean or if I wanted to dive into a "scary" VBAC world. Bridget completely eased my thoughts, calmed my nerves; and came over bright and early when my water broke unexpectedly; staying with me during my entire labor while my fiancé worked(I was scared to labor at home alone). at first i thought that hiring a doula meant I had someone who would tell doctors and nurses what I felt like I couldn't say. Instead, she showed me that I had the strength to stand up for myself and in fact could be my own advocate with her behind me as my emotional/informational support system. I think the only thing I can think of to make the client/doula relationship better is to take what she says and really apply it to your birth. Understand and absorb everything she tells you. If you find yourself in a sticky situation with a doctor; find the strength that she is trying to show you that you have and stick up for yourself. She can only say so much, so let her help you find your courage. :)
Shes not just a doula. At least to me she's not. I feel like I've made a new great friend out of my experience with her. I have nothing but good things to say about her and don't think I would have had a successful VBAC without her.

As a trained doula myself, I knew that I wanted a doula for my own birth experience. We interviewed many doulas and hit the jackpot when we found Bridget. I didn't tell her about my doula background and quizzed her with lots of birth related information. Bridget knew her stuff! I especially liked the fact that she has personally experienced a variety of birth related scenarios – from medicated/unmedicated births, vaginal/c-section births and both breast and bottle feeding.
Prior to my due date, Bridget checked in to see how my doctor’s appointments were going and how I was feeling. When my water spontaneously ruptured at 33 weeks, she met us at the hospital and I delivered quickly. She supported my husband, who was utterly petrified with the speed at which the process was happening. She asked if he had questions and explained things to him as they happened. Nothing went as planned but Bridget handled it all with grace. My husband accompanied the baby to the NICU and Bridget stayed with me. She was like my mother, sister, best friend and doula all wrapped into one.
Hours later, Bridget helped me use the breast pump to get the lactation process started. The time that Bridget spent with me was so valuable. It seemed like everything people said to me went in one ear and out the other. Bridget had the patience to explain things multiple times and even write things down that I would forget.
Following my discharge, Bridget kept in touch. She understood the sadness that accompanied leaving the hospital with a baby still in the NICU. Bridget came to my home for a postpartum visit to process the birth experience and to check in on how things were going. She was only a call away if I needed anything. It is difficult to explain how much I owe to Bridget. I would not hesitate to recommend her services for a moment! She was there for us before, during and after the birth of our child and supported us in so many ways.

When preparing to have my first child I knew 2 things: I wanted to hire a doula & I desired to have a natural birth. I have always thrived in situations when I had a coach, so I knew having a coach for my birth, labor, and delivery process would be critical to achieving my goal of a natural, medication-free delivery. Bridget was recommended by my Hypnobirthing instructor and from the minute we met I knew I had the right birth coach for me. At our first meeting she willingly drove to my home to meet my husband and I. Bridget was exceptionally warm, friendly, and eager to answer any questions we had. She was a perfect fit for us from day one, so we asked Bridget to be a part of the birth of our daughter. Throughout each of our meetings Bridget brought helpful handouts and was a wealth of information. She helped us make informed decisions about our birth plan and ensured us that she would be an advocate for our needs during labor and delivery and would help me stay the course on our birth plan decisions when the going got tough. When I was in labor, Bridget was virtually by my side, answering every text with encouragement and direction. My labor progressed quickly and when I felt it was time to head to the hospital she eagerly met us there, preparing my birthing room while I was in triage. When I arrived in the room, it was just as I had hoped it would be: calm and dim, with peaceful music playing to encourage a quiet birth. Bridget coached me through my labor and helped my husband be an active part of bringing our daughter into the world. She provided both counter pressure for my back labor and light touch massage; she also provided me with birth poses to help me gently encourage my daughter into the right birthing position. Bridget took wonderful photos to help us document the process, as well. I would recommend It is Well Doula Services to anyone who is looking for a supportive, educational and loving partnership to enhance your birthing experience.

Bridget is an amazing doula. We actually won free doula services from a baby expo in Phoenix. We were so excited but a little hesitant. We were nervous that because she was not getting paid for the doula services that she may not give her full attention and time to us. But that was not the case at all. Bridget drove about an hour each time to come to our house for our meet ups. She never made us drive somewhere to her, and always made sure it was a convenient time for us. She would drop her plans at any time if I had any questions or concerns. I would text her all the time asking questions and would always get a response back in less than 5 minutes. When she would come to our house she was always prepared and organized with any paperwork. Bridget has a passion in her job and you can really see that very clear. She also works with some humor, always lightening up the convo and making her clients feel special.
In the hospital during our stay when we delivered our son, Bridget was my rock. She came as soon as my fiance called her, and the kicker? It was on Christmas. Bridget left her family on Christmas to come be there with us for the delivery of our son. I felt really bad about it but she was just as positive and happy as ever. I labored for the entire day, Bridget was by my side the entire time, talking to me calmly, trying to make me laugh, rubbing my feet (OH MY GOD IT WAS AMAZING!) She was so calm in everything she did and any decision I made she totally respected. She never tried steering us in any direction as far as making decisions on our labor and delivery. All in all, I would've not have had such a successful, calm and beautiful labor if I didn't have Bridget right next to me. Not only did she keep me calm, but she also kept my fiancé calm. She was amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Bridget for anybody. She was perfect!!!! We love Bridget!!!

Bridget was amazing! I have a hard time letting people get close to me. Talking and getting to know her was so easy and natural. My husband also felt very comfortable with her. I am so thankful she was with us through the last part of my pregnancy and delivery. I wish we would have met her at the beginning. She was available for questions anytime I had them and never made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Bridget was at the hospital on the day my daughter was born all day and helped us to understand what was going on and helped us go through all the options available. We ended up having a c-section and I am grateful she was there to support me through it. Bridget will use every resource available to help you have a great pregnancy and birth. I would recommend her to anyone who is having a baby.

I won my doula experience from a raffle at a baby event and I think I can honestly say it is the most helpful thing I've ever won! Going through Labor with Bridget made my experience everything I wanted it to be. In my birth plan I specifically did not want an epidural, I believe that because of her helping me through the pain I was able to stick to that part of my plan. If I got pregnant again I would pay to use her.
